do not ingest

So I've recently been on a kind of "webcomic binge". See, I have a few comics that I check daily, a few I check weekly, and some more that I only check monthly. Well, being a busy college student bee, I've been neglecting most of week and month-ers. I had some free time the other day, so I went back and updated myself on all of the ones that I read, and then decided on one in particular to share with you.

That was a really long beginning, so I'll just get to the meat of this post.
It's called Lead Paint Comics, and it's hilarious. Since there's no specific plot, you can start from either the newest or the oldest comics. Also, the comics are genuinely funny. It doesn't feel trite or as though it's relying on everyone being as cool as it. You can see parts of yourself in it.

So, um. Yeah. Check it out!

CAPTCHA!

Wait, a capture that has nothing to do with Pokemon? How can this be?
This isn't a link, it's just something I did while taking a break from homework. Sorry for overloading with posts, there's just so much bwoosh to cover!
Serious props if you can figure out what I was originally looking at before I screencaptured screencaptures 20 times. (hint: it relates to your link)
Sorry it's so teenie on here.

MoonSticks #9 - Haruka & Michiru's Gone Wrong featuring Sailor Uranus/Haruka and Sailor Neptune/Michiru

You might have seen this, since it's a fairly popular Sailor Moon comic, but I don't think I've ever shown it to you before. "MoonSticks", it's called. It's kind of like parody comic strips of the SM world, in chibi-form. I'm no good at explaining things, but it's very funny and cute, and she usually updates somewhat regularly.

almost everyday . . .

I love this site, but I don't think I ever shared it with you, which is a shame because it is adorable, hilarious, geeky, and cute. Explaining the site is difficult, because it alternates between comic strips, animations, fanart, and other cute things. All I can say is, it is totally worth looking at. Also, their archive only goes back until May of this year (when they started), so you don't need to worry about being super behind on things.

totally dramatic . . .

Okay, so three links in one day might be a bit much, but I keep stumbling upon stuff that is really cool. Anyways, these are links to Total Drama fanart that I have found on Deviantart that I think you will like. I'm not putting up any images because I don't want to piss off people on DA, so you'll just have to click the links. NYA.

These are the TD characters incorporated into the Zodiac by the artist hielorei. The images are well designed and well executed. All of the characters are placed with what I find to be the perfect signs (I'll list just a few here: Geoff and Bridget as Pisces, Trent as Leo, Izzi as Libra, Duncan as Sagittarius).I couldn't find them all in one folder on hielorei's account, so I just have them from the search. There are a few other versions of the TD Zodiac at the bottom of the page, but I find them less impressive.

I quite like the artist Fukari, and the Total Drama section of the gallery is really nice. There isn't a huge volume of work, but the pieces are well drawn and humorous. The style is the artist's, and I find the interpretation of the characters to be really well done. Most of the work focuses on Gwen and Duncan, which is a pairing I'm totally into.

ma-ri-no doesn't have many pictures in her gallery, but the ones she does are well done computer graphics. The only two here that I find really interesting are the two pictures of LeShawna and Gwen in their formal dresses (for a high school dance). I really hope she continues to add other characters.

That's all for now. BWOOSH.

musically speaking

I don't know when you'll read this, but I do know that you NEED to share this link with Greg.
I just found this site today while I was looking for video game sheet music (which I found, and will share with you another day). Anyways, the site is called, simply, the Video Game Music Archive. I have found quite a few VG music sit
es before, but what impressed me about this site in particular is how comprehensive it its. It has music from HM 64, Snow Boarding Kids 2, Alladin (SNES), Neo Geo games, even a few RPG Maker tunes (PS1). I am wowed by this site and the fact that I never found it before. The songs are easy to listen to and download. They're in MIDI format, but you can still add them iTunes. I have yet to think of a game that I cannot find on this site, it is AMAZING.
So, if you ever get a song stuck in your head from a game you played long ago (I personally have been humming Linda' Castle all day), you need to get your browser over to this site.
Like I said, please let Greg know about this. Every game he has ever played is waiting for him to add it's music to his iPod.

EDIT: Okay, so MIDI files will play on iTunes, but they won't play on your iPod. Never fear, though! You can download and use Midi Converter Studio! It's free, and the page I just linked explains how to use it. Once you convert the files to MP3s, they should play on your iPod. Yay video game music!

when you get there, scroll down and the menu is on the left side of the page

it figures . . .

Okay, How a Girl Figures is a site I've been following for a while now, but I couldn't remember if I had ever shown it to you. Right now she's been very slow with updates, because of some personal issues, but her gallery of figure reviews is extensive, and evenwithout new updates, I can always find plenty to look at. Some of the figures are NSFW, just to let you know. If she gets cast-offable figures (figures with removable clothing), she'll review them with and without their clothes. You can probably tell by reading the beginning of the review if the figure will display its breasts, though, so it won't sneak up on you and be all like, "BAM! Breastulage."
The pictures are all great quality, too, and she has a knack for finding interesting settings to have photoshoots. Drool-worthy photos of drool-worthy figures.

tomopop

Okay, so I know that this is two posts in, like, a half hour, but I HAD to share this with you. I was planning on saving Tomopop for something super crazy, but this contest is really cool.
Tomopop is a figure-based site that updates several times a day. They cover urban vinyl, customs, action figures, gundams, anime figures, plushies, and a lot of other toy-related news and reviews. Basically, they are awesome.
And, they are having a very open-ended photography contest, of which there will be five winners, each winner getting to pick one out o
f five figures (all of which are pretty nice). The only real rule is that they want the photographs to be more artistic, and less comedy-based. Otherwise, any figure, style of photo, and subject matter is pretty much fine. It doesn't even have to be an anime figure, as long as it's a toy.
So, yeah, check it out and maybe consider entering. You could probably do something really cool with the pinky rooms, because we made those REALLY detailed. Final date for submission is October 12.

poketastic

This is kind of late, so you might not see it until morning.
Anyways, today's link comes from a Geekologie article (if you're not reading Geekologie, you should be- it's such a comprehensive blog that I won't link it for a specific day). Anyways, this is a fan-made trailer for a gritty, live-action Pokemon film. It's hilarious and serious all in one, plus you get to see what the Pokeverse would look like IN REAL LIFE. Whoa, am i right?
Enjoy.

something to think about

Okay, I have my first link for you here. I actually don't remember how I found this, but I remember when I did, I was so excited.
The blog is called "The Seventeen Magazine Project". Basically, this girl decided to live her life using an issue of Seventeen Magazine for a month and record her thoughts and other people's reaction to her.
She has a lot of interesting things to say, and all of her posts are well-written and thoughtful.
I'll admit that I do like reading Seventeen sometimes. It's nice to occasionally feel like a girl and look at the interesting pictures and the semi-relevant stories. But at the same time, there's so much to be criticized.
So, yeah, enjoy. If you want to.
