I know that you are busy with schoolwork and such, so me suggesting all of these movies is not very helpful, but there are just many that are entertaining!
This first one is one I had never heard of, but apparently it was nominated for an Academy Award. It's an animated film by the Irish Studio, Cartoon Saloon. It's a fictional story about the book of Kells and a young boy who helps with it. It's called, "The Secret of Kells". I don't know if our library will have it, but you should definitely check, and if they don't, I'll see if I can find a way for you to see it. There is a trailer for it HERE, but what you should really watch is this clip of a song from it, which is HERE. Because it's about Ireland and Kells, I think mom would like this one, too. It is a gorgeous film.
This next link is related to The Secret of Kells in that it was made by the same studio. It's a short animated video along with a Gaelic song that airs on a show in Ireland. The song is called Bean Pháidín, and is about a girl who is in love with a man, Pháidín, and wants his wife to break her legs and die because she would do anything for him. But then she realizes that she has worn herself out chasing after this man. It's very cute, and the song is nice. Watch it HERE.
Finally is another short video about some statistics in Japan. It was made by a Japanese student as a thesis project, and he decided to take a foreigner's perspective to look at some of the problems in Japan. It's interesting and worth a watch. Check it out HERE.
